Hiring 2026 Trail Crew
Sitka Trail Works is seeking dedicated individuals for our 2026 Summer Trail Crew. Trail Crew members will tackle maintenance needs in Sitka and beyond. Starting pay: $24-32/hour depending on experience.
Hiring Trail Crew Lead
Sitka Trail Works is seeking Trail Crew Lead to manage our year-round trail maintenance program and lead our paid summer crew. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented professional with strong technical skills for building trails in the rainforest and leader with experience motivating crews in challenging environments. Starting pay: $25-35/hour depending on experience.
Schedule
| Pre-Season (March, April): Crew lead only: part-time schedule for scoping, tool preparation, recruitment, training, and volunteer events. Start date negotiable. |
| Summer (May 1 – September 30): Full crew: Four-day work week, 10-hour days. Some weekends and overnight trips required. |
| Post-Season (Oct, Nov): Crew lead only: part-time schedule for tool inventory and maintenance, reporting, and volunteer events. End date negotiable. |
